Oh my! Has it been that long?

I had not realized until now how long it has been since I posted on tumblr. I guess I better get back to it.
Hats off to McDonald’s today for giving away free food; that’s right, free. Their computer system went down so they said, “Lunch is on us!” You have to admire the customer service. Rather than complain and whine about it, they took care of everyone in line. No issue.

Easter with the Bunny!

At our chruch this morning the Easter Bunny showed up as happy as ever. All the little kids got their picture with the Bunny and even a few big kids as well. One thing is for sure, all that fur is hot!
While there I heard of another church that did a similiar event but they decided to make a statement and “stoned” the bunny. I couldn’t believe it. For those of you that may not know it for sure, it is just a guy in a fur suit. Stone the bunny to make a point? Traumatize kids it what it sounds like to me. A little radical to say the least. If I would have been at a service like that I would have stood up and defended the bunny, or just left. It is just a guy in a suit to make kids smile and have fun. Come on people, loosen up a little.

Tired of cold

1/26/08 I know it is Missouri, but this cold and dreary weather is so depressing. You don’t even realize it until everyone around you becomes cranky and you wonder why. Of course it is all them and never me! I do love this state, I suppose I am just a warm weather guy and I am ready for Spring.

Foreclosuers a bargin???

No doubt about it, with interest rates plummeting, it is time to go after those great deals in real estate.   Yea, I know, foreclosures are out there, but that is not the only way to get a good deal.   I find it funny when people call me wanting to just pursue foreclosure type properties.   No big deal, but what they forget is that often you can get a better deal from a home owner who has no choice but to sell. 

You know him well; that guy who bought another new home first and is stuck with his old one, the one who got transferred, and let’s not forget about the ever popular divorce sale.   All of these people want to preserve their credit and won’t let their homes go to foreclosure but will sacrifice them to get it off their hands.   Foreclosure sales can be good deals but what they also do is drive the price down for other homes in the area for people who have to sell.  

 Now don’t get me wrong, I wish this market was not happening that we are in.  However, we are here and in it and therefore it can be a great opportunity for those who are willing to invest, and can see that the future holds great prosperity in the next several years.   

A Nice Day

Yesterday I met a client about buying a home for his daughter; nice guy.  Then went Christmas shopping with my son and while out we saw more people I knew than I have seen in ages.   Then I took my son home about 5, picked up my wife and we shopped some more with a nice quiet dinner just for 2.   Bought the book, The Secret, which I have heard great things about.   I will start it today.
